Kneeling down by the well, he prayed
"Lord, we ask Your blessings on us today.
Bring your living water to fill this cup,
And let our farm's thirsty ground drink it up."
A warm spring sun touched his tired back
The shovel that rested in his hands was gray and cracked
A drop of sweat rolled down from his chin
And as it fell into the well, the well came in
Living water sprang from the well that day
With a simple prayer and a mustard seed of faith
Living water sprang from the well that day
With a simple prayer and a mustard seed of faith
He hitched his team to the plow and he broke the ground
He sowed the seed that they would need to keep them sound
And living water gently filled the rows
And he stood there with joy in his heart as he watched it flow
Living water sprang from the well that day
With a simple prayer and a mustard seed of faith
Living water sprang from the well that day
With a simple prayer and a mustard seed of faith
With a simple prayer and a mustard seed of faith
